Projects
Most research projects in which IASF-MI staff is involved are large, international scientific collaborations.
Many projects have development times of the
order of 5-10 years before scientific results start to come in and can be
exploited. This is especially true when complex instrumentation has to be
designed, contracted and qualified, as it is the case for most space and
ground-based projects. It is an IASF-MI aim to take an
integrated approach, whereby its staff is involved both in the hardware
design and in the scientific data analysis phases.
The menu on the right provides links to project-specific pages (mantained
outside of this web site) for all missions, instruments and projects
in which we are involved.
Short descriptions of the main scientific themes and missions in which
our teams are involved are instead presented in the
institute introduction page.
