About IASF-MI
IASF-MI is organized around a number of research
groups, mostly funded through contracts with ASI, the
Italian Space Agency, with the European Commission, and
from times to times, with ESO and the Ministry of
Education.
The menu on the right provides a link to a short description
(with possible further links) of the local
activities of the team in charge of a particular research project or theme.
A list of all missions, instruments and projects in which we are involved
is instead provided in the projects page.
International collaborations are the rule. The main common facility is the mechanical workshop, which can boast many advanced realizations, such as the BeppoSAX grazing incidence mirrors, the VIRMOS Mask Manufacturing Unit (operational at the Paranal Observatory), and the AGILE anticoincidence system.
